Nature Fights Back
We harness the power of some of the most therapeutic plant oils on the planet to bring all-natural pest solutions to your garden.

how it works
asphyxiation
Plant Oils have a variety of different effects on pests and insects. The most important is that they block the air holes (spiracles) through which insects breathe, causing them to die from asphyxiation.
poison
Oils may also act as poisons, interacting with the fatty acids of the insect and interfering with normal metabolism.
reproductive harm
Oils can penetrate the shells of eggs, killing the developing embryo. Some oils can also affect oviposition behavior.
no plant toxicity
We select essential oils that have low to no plant toxicity and leave behind zero toxic residues. We use therapeutic-grade oils that are safe to use around pets, children, and wildlife so you can breathe easy.
Glossary of Ingredients
We use natural, plant-based ingredients in every batch of Wizard's Brew.
Lemongrass Oil
The essential oil extracted from the lemongrass plant. Lemongrass has antifungal and antimicrobial properties which aide in its effectiveness as a natural pesticide and fungicide. Lemongrass oil is rich in terpees, alcohols, ketones, aldehyde, and esters. It is especially rich in Citral which acts as a repellent. It also dries out eggs and larvae.
Rosemary Oil
The essential oil extracted from the rosemary plant. Rosemary oil repels spider mites and can affect oviposition behavior. Moreover, rosemary oil and rosemary oil-based pesticides are nonpersistent in the environment, and their lethal and sublethal effects fade within 1 or 2 days. Dries eggs and larvae.
Cinnamon Oil
The essential oil extracted from cinnamon bark. Known widely for its antimicrobial and antifungal properties. The chemical compounds found in cinnamon oil act fast and kill pests and spores on contact. Other chemical compounds in cinnamon act as a repellent.
Castor Oil
Castor oil is derived from the castor bean. Its primary pesticidal use is as an insecticide, suffocating and repelling pests.
Cedarwood Oil
The essential oil distilled from the wood of a cedar tree. It kills on contact then acts as a repellent.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
USDA Certified 95% Biobased
Derived from coconuts or palm. It is believed that fatty acid soaps disrupt the cell membrane of insects, athough suffocation is considered to be the most probable mechanism due to the high wettability of soap.

Words from the Wizard
I created Wizard’s Brew because I would like for people to be able to grow as organically as possible.

When I started Wizard’s Brew in 2012, many pesticides out there were not even close to natural. They had to be reapplied and repurchased, and often. Sometimes the most effective ones would compromise the health of the plants or even brandished warning signs that they were dangerous for human consumption. I knew something had to change.
I set out to create organic products that were so effective and natural that their efficacy would denote some sort of wizardry. 8 years later, I am proud that home growers, dispensary owners, and agricultural companies trust Wizard’s Brew products to manage and save their crops.
If applied correctly, I guarantee that you will see positive results.
From my garden to yours,
Robert Holland, Creator

Under New Ownership
The History

Wizard's Brew was founded in 2012 by a veteran horticulturist, Robert Holland who dreamed of an organic, effective pest control solution for his edible and flowering plants. After conducting research, and with the advice of a very dear uncle, Robert created the first batch of Wizard’s Brew in his garage. A close friend, and local cannabis dispensary owner, desperately needed a solution for his russet mite problem and Robert was more than happy to share his creation. After a complete and expedient eradication of the infestation, the word was out. Growers and friends started calling, and then local grow stores started inquiring. Robert knew it was time to launch his brand.

Legendary trials
Wizard's Brew is a small but proud, family-owned company that enjoyed explosive growth in the first handful of years, seeing its way into dozens of grow supply stores and dispensaries in Denver. Then, late in 2018, the owner had a major life event that halted production. Wizard's Brew, one of the safest, and most effective pesticides on the market, almost became a legendary myth,

The New Owners
Founders of a local, cultivation magazine, FOX & NUG, were heavily reliant on the product as they had grown an affinity for the aromatherapeutic ritual of preventative and active pest control. Alexandra and Sean Calahan, founders of FOX & NUG, saw the enormous potential of this organic pesticide and made an offer to acquire a portion of the company along with a group of Angel Investors. Although Robert had several offers from other investors, he felt this young couple would honor the founding values and vision of the Wizard’s Brew brand.
Alexandra and Sean have spent the last 6 years developing marketing and branding for the cannabis industry and have helped with the branding and expansion of several national brands like incredibles, DCG, Keef Cola, CBD Living Water, Verdant Formulas, and Hemp Farm Brokerage.
